The Bodyworker

Hi, I’m Sim, The Bodyworker and for over 25 years, I’ve dedicated my career to helping individuals transform their health and well-being through nutrition, education, and lifestyle management. My approach is rooted in the belief that small, meaningful changes can lead to extraordinary results—and I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

My Philosophy

Health isn’t just about feeling “OK” or getting by—it’s about thriving. Through a blend of evidence-based practices, real food nutrition, and practical lifestyle shifts, I’ve worked with clients to tackle everything from metabolic health to emotional eating. My mission is to help you future-proof your health for a life of vitality & longevity.

I am passionate and dedicated to sharing my knowledge so everyBODY can thrive!

About Sim

For years, I struggled with chronic fatigue and pain that doctors couldn’t explain despite “normal” test results. Eventually, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia—a condition that left me feeling permanently jetlagged. Determined to avoid a life reliant on medication, I took control of my health in 2015 and discovered “Banting”, a low-carb lifestyle that transformed my life.

Within weeks of starting on a low-carb lifestyle, my pain reduced, my energy levels soared, my sleep improved, and I felt like myself again. This profound change didn’t just heal my body—it ignited a passion to help others experience the same transformation.

After 13 years as a bodyworker specialising in deep tissue massage and reflexology, I shifted my focus to nutrition and lifestyle education. I immersed myself in research, trained extensively, and began sharing my knowledge through workshops, cooking, and coaching.

In 2017, I joined the NHS National Diabetes Prevention Programme, empowering people to make dietary and lifestyle changes to reduce their risk of Type 2 diabetes. This rewarding experience fuelled my desire to support people with health challenges often accompanying dietary change.

Today, I combine many of my qualifications, such as being a Nutrition (Natural Therapy Approach) Practitioner and a Nutrition Network Advisor, with ongoing training in addressing metabolic health, sugar dependency, lifestyle, and preventative support.

My mission is simple: to help as many people as I can to reclaim their health, rediscover their vitality, and live their best lives.

Some of My CV

BSc Health Science: Therapeutic Bodywork

My degree was life-changing – I spent 3 years learning living anatomy and many different bodywork techniques whilst practising with real people in the University Clinic. How to work with clients from all walks of life with various aches and pains.

Over the years, whilst in private practice, I specialised in deep tissue massage, sports massage, and reflexology.  My tagline was “May Hands Do the Listening” because, within my 13-year career, I had truly learnt to feel and hear the body’s needs through my hands.

Registered Nutrition (Natural Health Approach) Practitioner

Natural therapists understand that the body has an incredible ability to heal itself when given the right conditions. With systems designed for regeneration, rejuvenation, and rebuilding, along with a highly efficient immune system, the body is equipped to fend off even the toughest challenges.

The focus of natural therapy is on providing the body with the optimal fuel it needs to maintain health or recover from illness.

As a Nutrition Practitioner, I can offer expert guidance on dietary interventions and empower clients to make healthier nutritional choices.

Nutrition Network Advisor (in LCHF/Keto)

As a qualified Nutrition Advisor, my training was delivered by leading experts across various fields, including world-class scientists, specialist doctors, academics, ICF-accredited life coaches, and internationally renowned motivational speakers. I was provided with an exceptional blend of scientific knowledge and coaching expertise to offer a comprehensive and engaging educational experience.

The scientific modules offered a robust foundation in LCHF nutrition, grounded in the latest international research. Complementing this were coaching modules, which equipped me with practical skills to drive motivation and inspire change. All were presented by highly regarded professionals.

With this training, I can provide personalised guidance tailored to my client’s unique health and weight goals. My expertise enables me to offer practical nutritional advice and empower, motivate, and inspire lasting, transformative changes in their lives.  I continue to learn with The Nutrition Network, and I am currently studying Nutritional Paradigms for Treating Chronic Disease and Resilience Mental Health & Stress Management
